The charges occurred in March to the credit cards of the graduated class. The eFollette Group claims the mistake was the result of a computer malfunction by the Herff Jones Company, the company from which the school orders its cap and gowns for the commencement ceremonies.

Last week, Chad Williams-Bey was among hundreds of Howard University students to drive eight hours to Cincinnati for Bonner's funeral, officially saying goodbye to a dear friend.
