Living abroad is easy; bypassing language and cultural barriers a bigger feat

I buy pineapple-flavored toothpaste, Happy Hippo cookies, and linden tree tea. I cook everything in olive oil, and I've tried eating eggs with tzatziki. I have a map of Paros plastered on my wall, and I mumble, "efharisto" when I feel the weight of loose change in my hand.

A year ago, I had never even dreamed of visiting India. Whenever the country came to mind, my first image would always be of my best friend from my childhood; she and her family were from India. Playing at her house was not like playing at any other friends' house.

Iran to defy U.N. anti-nuclear resolutions UNITED NATIONS (AP) - Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad told world leaders his country will defy any further U.N. Security Council resolutions imposed by "arrogant powers" seeking to curb its nuclear program, accusing them of lying and imposing illegal sanctions against Tehran.
